Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- green onions - 3 item
- bunch fresh cilantro - 1/3 item
- lime, juiced - 1 item
- tomatillos, outer onion like skin removed and washed - 20 item
- to 3 jalapeno chilies - 2 item
- to 3 Serrano chilies - 2 item
How to make salsa verde (green salsa):
Boil (over medium-high heat) first 4 ingredients in 3 cups of water until tomatillos come apart. Place green onions, lime juice and cilantro in blender and pour in warm tomatillo mixture. Blend until smooth (about 60 seconds); cover lid with a cloth and hold the lid down before and during the blending process since the contents are hot and are likely to "explode" all over the kitchen.
