Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • water - 1/2 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • pecans - 1/2 c
  • rum
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • vegetable cooking spray - 1 item
  • French vanilla pudding - 1 pkg

How to make rum cake:

Glaze:1/4 c. rum1/4 c. water1 c. sugar Spray a Bundt or tube pan with vegetable spray. Sprinkle the nuts into the bottom. Mix the other ingredients; beat for two minutes. Pour the mixture into the pan and bake at 325° for 50 minutes. Cool for thirty minutes, then glaze.

To prepare the glaze: Combine the ingredients; simmer for 15 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes. To glaze the cake, stick the cake with toothpicks and pour the glaze over it. Let the glaze soak in for 30 minutes. Remove the cake from the pan.
