Refrigerator dill pickles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- green pepper slices - 1 c
- sliced cucumbers - 9 c
- sliced sweet onion - 1 c
- dark vinegar - 1 c
How to make refrigerator dill pickles:
Slice cucumbers. Add salt and stir. Let stand 1 hour and drain (do not rinse). Stir in onion and green pepper. Combine sugar, vinegar and celery seed. Heat until comes to a boil. Remove from heat and cool. Pour over cucumber mixture and stir. Put in gallon container and refrigerate.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Condiments, etc., Vegetarian.
