Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 8 item
- vanilla flavoring - 1 Tbsp
- Crisco - 2 c
- lemon flavoring - 5 Tbsp
- Swans Down cake flour
How to make pound cake:
Mix shortening and sugar. Then add eggs, milk, flavoring and flour. Beat at least 10 minutes on medium speed. Batter will be thick in texture. Dip into pan with a spoon. Bake 1 hour and 45 minutes at 250°. Grease and flour pan. Makes an extra large cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
