Pork chops and sauerkraut
Ingredients/Components
- caraway seed
- strips bacon - 6 item
- pork chops - 6 item
- large chopped onions - 2 item
- cans sauerkraut, rinsed well - 2 oz
- chicken or beef broth or 1/2 c - 1/2 c
How to make pork chops and sauerkraut:
Saute onions in frypan, set aside. Cook bacon and set aside. Drain grease and brown pork chops on both sides. Mix sauerkraut, onions, crumbled bacon and caraway seed, tossing well. Line a casserole dish with sauerkraut mixture. Before putting pork chops on top, add chicken or beef broth or white wine. Top with browned chops and bake, covered, for 1 hour at 375°.Recipe categories: Main dish, Pork chop, One Dish meal.
