Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- warm water - 1 c
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make pizza crust:
Measure water into bowl. Sprinkle with yeast. Stir until dissolved. Stir in sugar, salt and olive oil. Add 2 cups of the flour and beat until smooth, then add as much of the remaining flour as needed (about 1/2 cup) to make a soft dough. Turn out on a floured board and knead until smooth. (Use the rest of the flour for this.) Place dough in a large, greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk. Makes 2 pizza crusts.Suggestions For Toppings: Tomato sauce, Italian seasonings, Mozzarella, American or Swiss cheese, diced onions, green peppers or mushrooms, Italian sausage, pepperoni, hamburger, Canadian bacon or bacon.
