Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- dry yeast - 2 pkg
- lukewarm water
How to make pita bread:
Put dry yeast in water and add sugar. Stir until yeast is dissolved. Add the flour and salt; mix well. Divide dough into 2 parts. Make into 18 or 20 equal sized balls and roll to 5-inches in diameter. Place on cookie sheet and let rise until puffy. Bake at 500° for about 5 minutes, until puffed, but not too brown.
