Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- grated carrots
- mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- tsp salt - 1/2 item
- grapes - 15 item
- red onion, thinly sliced - 1/2 item
- tsp nutmeg - 1/2 item
- tsp celery salt - 1/4 item
- English cucumber, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced crosswise - 1 item
- small nappa cabbage, very thinly sliced - 1/4 item
- rice vinegar, not seasoned - 1/2 c
- radish, sliced thin - 1 item
How to make pickled cabbage:
Own Additions:1/2 c. grated carrots1/2 tsp. mustard seed15 grapes1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp nutmeg1/4 tsp celery salt1 radish, sliced thin Combine cucumber, cabbage and onion in a bowl. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil in saucepan, stirring, and immediately pour over cucumber mixture. Toss mixture and let stand at room temperature, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
