- cream cheese - 1 (8
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar
- butter - 1 c
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
How to make pecan tarts:
Filling:1 c. brown sugar1 c. chopped pecans1 egg1 tsp. vanilla2 Tbsp. melted butter Mix together and chill several hours. Shape into balls and put in ungreased mini muffin cups. Press dough against bottom and sides of cups. Sprinkle a few chopped pecans in each cup.Filling: Beat together the egg, brown sugar, butter and vanilla until smooth. Drop 1 teaspoon of mixture in each pastry-lined cup. Top with chopped pecans. Bake at 325° for 25 minutes. Cool. Remove from pans. Makes about 4 dozen tarts. (I double the filling recipe.)
