Pecan puffs
Ingredients/Components
- large marshmallows - 16 item
- milk or cream - 2 Tbsp
- finely chopped toasted pecans
- to 40 caramels - 36 item
How to make pecan puffs:
Unwrap the caramels and combine with milk in a medium size glass bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir and if needed, continue to microwave for 15 seconds. Stir and repeat, if needed until caramels are melted. Dip each marshmallow into caramel mixture and then coat well with pecans. It might be necessary to turn the marshmallows from time to time until the caramel sets.Note: To toast the pecans, place them on a baking sheet before chopping and bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Shake the pan after 5 minutes to toast the pecans evenly.
