Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- water - 1/4 c
- sliced lemon - 1/2 item
- fresh pears, peeled and sliced - 4 lb
How to make pear preserves:
In a large, heavy pot, combine pears, sugar, water and lemon. Bring to a boil. Lower heat. Cover and cook until thickened, stirring occasionally. Makes about 8 pints.*If pectin is used, stir in after completely cooked.
