  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • about 48 chocolate candy kisses

How to make peanut blossoms:

In large bowl, mix flour, sugars, baking soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg. Mix at low speed until stiff dough forms. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and immediately top with a candy kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Yield: approximately 4 dozen.
