Peanut blossoms

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• vanilla - 1-1/2 tsp
• milk - 2 Tbsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 1-3/4 c
• brown sugar - 1/2 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• shortening - 1/2 c
• peanut butter - 1/2 c
• chocolate candy kisses - 48 item
• additional sugar for coating - 1 item

How to make peanut blossoms:

Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg in a bowl; blend until stiff. Shape into 1 inch balls; roll in extra sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with chocolate kiss; pressing down firmly so cookies cracks around edges, remove from cookie sheet. Let cool.
