Oatmeal cake
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- evaporated milk - 1/4 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- coconut - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- boiling water
- pecans - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- Let stand for 20 minutes
- 3 Minute oats - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Stir together water, oats and oleo. Let stand for 20 minutes. Then combine all ingredients and stir gently. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes in greased and floured oblong pan.Frosting:6 Tbsp. oleo1/4 c. evaporated milk1 c. brown sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut1 c. pecans Melt oleo in milk, sugar, vanilla, coconut and pecans over low heat.
