Mushrooms florentine
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- fresh mushrooms - 1 lb
How to make mushrooms florentine:
Cook spinach according to package directions. Drain well and squeeze excess liquid. Spoon spinach evenly into bottom of shallow casserole. Sprinkle with salt, chopped onion and 2 tablespoons melted butter and 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese.Rinse and dry mushrooms. Saute in 4 tablespoons of butter. Spoon mushrooms over cheese layer in casserole. Sprinkle lightly with garlic powder and 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese. Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
