- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- light corn syrup - 1/4 c
- popped corn - 16 c
How to make microwave caramel corn:
Divide popped corn between two 4-quart bowls. Mix brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in a 2 1/2-pint casserole dish. Microwave, uncovered, for 2 1/2 minutes; stir. Then microwave to boiling for 30 seconds. Boil 3 minutes. Stir in baking soda. Pour syrup mixture on popped corn, stirring until mixed. Microwave, uncovered, (one bowl at a time) until well coated, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes, stirring every minute. Cool, stirring occasionally.Recipe categories: Desserts, Microwave, Candy.
