- milk
- soda
- egg - 1 item
- hamburger
- onion, diced - 1 item
- yellow corn meal
- jalapeno pepper, sliced - 1 item
- cheese Velveeta
How to make mexican cornbread:
Cornbread Batter:1 c. yellow corn meal1 tsp. soda1/2 c. milk1 egg Brown hamburger and drain. Put aside. Make cornbread batter. Grease and dust with corn meal the iron skillet (or other type skillet). Pour 1/2 cornbread batter in bottom of skillet. Then put your browned hamburger on top. Then layer with diced onion, jalapeno and cheese. Pour the remainder of the cornbread batter on top. Bake in 375 degrees oven until cornbread is done. Serve with salad. Makes an easy meal that's good.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, North american.
