Marinated shrimp
Ingredients/Components
- salt
- salad oil
- celery seed
- dash of hot sauce - 1 item
- shrimp
- white vinegar - 3/4 c
- sliced onions - 2 c
- capers and juice
- mixed pickling spice - 1/4 c
- rib celery - 1 item
How to make marinated shrimp:
Marinade:1 1/4 c. salad oil3/4 c. white vinegar2 1/2 Tbsp. capers and juice2 1/2 tsp. celery seed1 1/2 tsp. salt dash of hot sauce Cook shrimp, celery, spices, 3 1/2 teaspoons salt for 5 minutes in boiling water. Drain, cool and peel shrimp. Alternate layers of shrimp and onions in bowl. Combine marinade ingredients; mix well and pour over shrimp and onions. Refrigerate for 24 to 48 hours, stirring 2 to 3 times. Remove shrimp and onions from Marinade. Serve.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
