Macaroni pudding


Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 qt
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- chopped dates - 1/2 c
- elbow macaroni - 4 oz
- lemon rind
How to make macaroni pudding:
Scald milk in heavy saucepan; do not boil. Add macaroni; simmer, uncovered, stirring frequently until tender. Beat eggs; add sugar and beat until thick and lemon colored. Remove mixture from heat; stir in egg mixture and remaining ingredients. Pour in lightly greased baking dish and bake in a 300° oven for 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
