Macaroni and cheese for two
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- dried minced onion - 1/2 tsp
- grated cheese - 3/4 c
- grated sharp cheese - 1/2 c
- small elbow macaroni - 3/4 c
How to make macaroni and cheese for two:
Boil 3/4 cup small elbow macaroni for 5 minutes in water salted with 1 teaspoon salt. Melt margarine in a saucepan. Add flour and mix with the margarine. Add milk. Add 3/4 cup grated cheese; bring to a boil. Add pepper. Add salt. Add dried minced onion. Put drained macaroni in a greased casserole. Pour sauce over it. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated sharp cheese. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes. For drier macaroni and cheese, bake another 5 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Pasta, Elbow macaroni.
