Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 8 oz
- macaroni - 8 oz
How to make macaroni and cheese casserole:
Cook the macaroni and drain. In a saucepan, melt the butter and remove from heat. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in the milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then reduce heat. Simmer about 1 minute and remove from heat.Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheese and the macaroni. Pour into a 2-quart dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
