Ingredients/Components

  • firm tomatoes - 4 lb
  • salted salmon Suisan Fishmarket sells blocks of salmon already deboned - 1 lb
  • large round onions - 2 item
  • large bunches green onions - 2 item

How to make lomi salmon:

Remove any bones or skin. Finely chop or shred the salted salmon. Place in a colander and rinse under cold tap water for approximately 10 minutes or until most of the salt is removed. Allow the salted salmon to drain.

Finely chop the tomatoes, round onions and green onions. Mix all the ingredients together and chill at least 2 hours before serving.

You may prepare the ingredients the night before serving and store them separately in the refrigerator. Serves about 12 people.
