Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- oleo - 1/2 c
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- juice of 1 lemon
- rind of 1 lemon
How to make lemon bread:
Mix together 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice. Let stand. Cream together oleo, 1 cup sugar, eggs, lemon rind, milk, flour, baking powder and salt. Pour creamed ingredients into a loaf pan and bake 45 to 55 minutes in a 350° oven. Pour lemon juice and sugar mixture over warm loaf. Let cool in pan.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Oven.
