Layered vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- sliced green onion - 3 Tbsp
- frozen peas - 1 c
- head lettuce, chopped - 1 item
- Cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
- hard-boiled eggs, sliced - 4 item
- green pepper, cut into rings - 1 item
- sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled - 1/2 lb
- chopped radishes - 1/2 c
- season salt - 1/2 tsp
- ReaLemon juice - 2 tsp
- shredded fresh carrots - 1 c
- light salad dressing - 1 c
How to make layered vegetable salad:
Layer 1/2 head lettuce (about 4 cups) into bottom of a large salad bowl. Layer with carrots, green onion and 3 hard-boiled eggs (reserve one for garnish). Layer with remaining lettuce, bacon, peas and radishes.In a small bowl, combine salad dressing, sugar, salt, lemon juice and pepper. Spread over last layer. Sprinkle cheese around eggs. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. Garnish with green pepper rings and remaining hard-boiled egg. Makes 10 servings.
