Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- mayonnaise
- carrots, grated - 2 item
- head lettuce - 1 item
- bacon, fried and crumbled - 1/2 pkg
- grated Cheddar - 2 c
- small can LeSueur peas, drained - 1 item
- purple onion, sliced thinly - 1 item
How to make layered salad:
In 9 x 13-inch dish or trifle bowl, break lettuce into bite size pieces. Put grated carrots on top. Pour drained peas next, then onion slices. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and sugar and spread on top of onions. Sprinkle cheese on, then add bacon pieces. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hours.Recipe categories: Salads, 3 steps or less, > 1 day.
