Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- egg - 1 item
- garlic powder - 1 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- onion, chopped - 3/4 c
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- Ricotta cheese - 1 lb
- lasagna noodles - 9 item
- can crushed tomatoes - 1 oz
- oregano leaves - 1/2 tsp
How to make lasagna:
Mix ricotta cheese with egg and 1/2 tsp. salt. In large heavy pan, lightly brown beef and onion. Add tomatoes, paste, water, parsley, salt, sugar, garlic powder, pepper and oregano. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally about 30 minutes. Cook lasagna as directed, drain. In a 9 x 13 inch baking pan, spread about 1 cup sauce. Then alternate layers of lasagna, sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese, ending with sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.
