Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- basil - 1 Tbsp
- hamburger - 1 lb
- Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 lb
- cans tomato paste - 2 oz
- crushed tomatoes - 2 c
- to 14 lasagna noodles - 12 item
How to make lasagna:
Brown hamburger until crumbly. Drain. Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper and basil. Simmer for 30 minutes. In a small bowl, mix eggs, Parmesan cheese, parsley and cottage cheese. Cook noodles according to directions on package. Rinse and cool slightly.In a 9 x 13-inch cake pan, layer sauce, noodles, meat mixture, cottage cheese mixture, Mozzarella cheese and noodles. Make sure to top with sauce and then cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until hot in center. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
Note: May substitute 1 quart purchased pasta sauce instead of sauce recipe.
