Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- salt - 4 Tbsp
- vinegar - 5 c
- celery seed - 4 Tbsp
- mustard seed - 4 Tbsp
- good size onions - 8 item
- pails full green tomatoes - 2 5
- red or 3 green peppers - 2 item
How to make indian relish:
Run vegetables through food chopper. Place in a large bowl or container. Mix in salt and let stand overnight. Next day, place in a large canner or kettle. Add vinegar, sugar, mustard seed and celery seed. Mix and cook until vegetables are tender. Pack in canning jars and seal.
