Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 1 Tbsp
- ground cumin - 2 tsp
- fresh lemon juice - 1 2
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- extra virgin olive oil - 6 8
- cans chickpeas, drained - 2 oz
- pita bread, cut in wedges - 1 item
How to make hummus:
In a food processor or blender, combine first five ingredients and blend. Drizzle in olive oil with processor running. Add salt and pepper to taste. Makes approximately 2 cups.Toast pita triangles (if desired) and serve with hummus. Also makes a great open faced sandwich of hummus on pita wedge, sliced tomatoes and alfalfa sprouts.
