  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • water
  • oil - 3 Tbsp
  • cocoa - 1 Tbsp
  • baking soda - 2 tsp

How to make hot fudge cake:

Stir together in a 9-inch square greased pan 3/4 cup sugar, the flour, salt, baking powder and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Stir in the milk, oil and vanilla. Mix 1/2 cup each of white and brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa. Over this, pour 1 1/2 cups water. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes, or until top springs back when lightly touched. Best served warm with Cool Whip or ice cream.
