Hot chicken casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- hard-boiled eggs, diced - 3 item
- to 6 chicken breasts, cooked and diced - 4 item
- , sliced and drained - 1 can
- celery, diced fine or less - 2 c
How to make hot chicken casserole:
Mix all ingredients together with 1/2 can cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup mayonnaise and 1 cup sour cream. Turn into casserole and top with 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Sprinkle can of French fried onion rings on top. Bake 15 minutes more. Serve with rice. Freezes well.Note: Can be put in 9 x 13-inch pan also.
