Herbed rice pilaf
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/4 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- soy sauce - 1 tsp
- chicken broth - 4 c
- dried oregano - 1 tsp
- dried thyme - 1 tsp
- uncooked long grain rice - 2 c
How to make herbed rice pilaf:
In a skillet, saute rice, celery and onion in butter until the rice is lightly browned and the vegetables are tender. Spoon into a greased 2-quart casserole dish. Combine all remaining ingredients. Pour over rice mixture. Cover and bake at 325° for 50 minutes. Yields 8 servings.Recipe categories: Side dish, Pasta, rice and grains, Rice.
