Ingredients/Components
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- stalks celery, sliced - 2 item
- tsp ginger - 1 item
- Tbsp cornstarch - 1 item
- c cold water - 1 item
- c olive or canola oil - 1/4 item
- c soy sauce - 1/4 item
- lb round steak, cut into thin strips - 1 item
- c green onion, thinly sliced - 1 item
- c green pepper, cut into 1-inch squares - 1 item
- ripe tomatoes, wedged - 2 item
How to make green pepper steak:
Combine soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Add beef, toss and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Heat oil, add beef and toss over high heat until cooked to desired doneness. Add vegetables. toss until tender-crisp, about 10 minutes. Mix cornstarch and water. Add to pan, stir and cook until thick. Add tomatoes and heat through.
