Ingredients/Components
- hot water - 6 c
- 12 oz - 1 lb
- chopped onion - 1/2 item
- parsley flakes - 1 tsp
- can tomato paste - 12 oz
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- salt or to taste - 1/2 tsp
- fennel seed - 1/2 tsp
- crushed sweet basil - 1 tsp
- to 6 large garlic cloves - 5 item
How to make gravy:
Saute onion. Stir in tomato paste and garlic, basil, parsley, fennel seed, salt and pepper. After a few minutes, stir in crushed tomatoes. Then you put in boiling water. When it comes to a boil, lower heat and let cook for 3 hours or to desired thickness.Recipe categories: Main dish, Italian, European.
