Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • orange juice - 1 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • grated lemon peel - 1/8 tsp
  • fresh carrots, sliced or julienne cut - 1 lb

How to make glazed carrots:

Combine ingredients in a saucepan; cover and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and continue to simmer, stirring frequently, until most of the liquid is evaporated and carrots are tender and glazed. If a thicker glaze is desired, add 2 teaspoons of cornstarch to 1/4 cup of water. Stir until combined and add to carrots; continue cooking until sauce is desired thickness.
