Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 4 item
- flour - 4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- molasses - 2 c
- ginger - 4 Tbsp
- allspice - 1 Tbsp
How to make gingerbread:
Preheat oven to 375°. Melt molasses and butter together; stir in sugar until dissolved. Cool. Mix with a wooden spoon flour, baking powder, spices and eggs. Add to cooled mixture, beating well. Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan and bake 50 to 60 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
