German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- flour
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2/3 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- small onion, minced - 1 item
- salt or more to taste - 1 tsp
- small potatoes, cooked, peeled and sliced - 20 item
- slices bacon, cubed and fried golden brown - 4 item
How to make german potato salad:
Add onion to potatoes. Cube and fry bacon until golden brown. Remove bacon from pan. To bacon fat, add butter and flour. Stir and cook and add vinegar, water, sugar, salt and pepper. Let come to a boil and pour over potatoes. Add bacon cubes. Serves about 6 people.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
