Frozen cole slaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- grated carrots - 1 c
- vinegar
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- mustard seed - 1 tsp
- green peppers, chopped - 1 c
- medium head shredded cabbage - 1 item
How to make frozen cole slaw:
Dressing:1 c. vinegar1/4 c. water1 tsp. mustard seed1 tsp. celery seed2 c. sugar Mix salt and cabbage; let stand 1 hour. Squeeze excess water out. Add carrots and peppers.Dressing: While cabbage is standing, bring to a boil the dressing mixture; boil for 1 minute. Cool to lukewarm. Pour over cabbage mixture. Put in freezer containers (1 pint) and freeze. Thaws in little time for use.
