French onion casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- lite soy sauce - 1 tsp
- Swiss cheese, grated - 1/2 lb
- large white sweet onions - 2 item
- slices French bread 1/4-inch thick, buttered - 8 item
How to make french onion casserole:
Peel and slice onions 1/4-inch thick. Saute onions in butter until tender and spoon into 11 x 7-inch glass dish. Spread cheese over onions.Heat soup, milk and soy sauce together; stir until well blended. Pour over onions and cheese. Mix gently with a fork. Place buttered bread slices on top. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
