- nutmeg - 1 item
- whipping cream - 1 c
- pepper - 1 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 2/3 c
- sweet butter - 1 c
- homemade fettuccine - 1 lb
How to make fettuccine alfredo:
Cook fettuccine in boiling, lightly salted water until tender; rinse with hot water and drain. Combine 2/3 cup whipping cream and 1/2 cup butter in pan large enough to hold fettuccine. Cook until butter melts and mixture is thickened. Add fettuccine to cream mixture. Place over low heat and toss. Add remaining cream, butter and cheese. Toss; sprinkle with nutmeg.
