Elderberry jam
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- elderberries, crushed - 2 qt
How to make elderberry jam:
Combine berries, sugar and vinegar in a large pot. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook rapidly until thick, stirring frequently. Pour into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headroom; seal. Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Makes about 3 pints.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Berries, Jams and preserves.
