- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- chopped apples
How to make double apple cake:
Cream butter with sugar. Beat in 2 eggs. Add apples and vanilla. In a large bowl mix flour with cinnamon and baking soda. Mix the 2 mixtures. Core 2 to 3 apples; cut into thin wedges. Arrange some wedges on sides of well-greased 9-inch round, 1 1/2-inch deep cake pan. Spoon in batter, level. Arrange remaining wedges on top. Drizzle 2 tablespoons butter over top. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes. Glaze apple topping with 1/4 cup melted currant jelly.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
