Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3 c
• vanilla - 1/8 tsp
• water - 2/3 c
• egg whites - 2 item
• nuts - 1 2
• light corn syrup - 1/2 c
• fruit optional - 1 item

How to make divinity:

Boil sugar, corn syrup and water together until it will form a hard ball when dropped in water. Beat egg whites and salt at high speed for 3 minutes in a large bowl. Pour syrup slowly into beaten whites while beating at high speed. Continue beating until passed the glossy stage. Add nuts or fruits and vanilla. Continue beating until mixture forms a peak. Pour into buttered platter or drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
