Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • egg whites - 2 item
  • cup water - 1/2 item
  • cup chopped nuts - 1/2 item
  • cups sugar - 2 item
  • cup white Karo syrup - 1/2 item

How to make divinity:

Mix together all ingredients in large sauce pan. Cook until thick and will spin a thread. While this is cooking, beat two egg whites until they are fluffy. Slowly pour syrup over egg whites beating constantly with a mixer. Add vanilla and chopped nuts. Beat with spoon until firm enough to drop on waxed paper. Add food coloring if desired.
