Delmonico potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cream - 1 c
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 item
- Cheddar cheese, shredded - 8 oz
- to 9 potatoes red are best - 8 item
How to make delmonico potatoes:
Peel potatoes and boil for 15 minutes. Cool and shred into a buttered casserole dish. In a heavy saucepan, mix remaining ingredients together over low heat and stir until cheese is melted and sauce is heated through. Do not boil. (Can do this in microwave.) Pour mixture over potatoes and sprinkle with paprika. Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 1 hour. Serves 8 to 10.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Vegetables.
