- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- lemon rind, grated - 1 tsp
- apples - 6 item
- unbaked pastry crust - 1 item
How to make deep dish apple pie:
Peel apples. Slice and fill a 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients except butter and pastry and sprinkle over apples. Dot with butter. Cover with pastry and bake in a moderate oven (350°) for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
