Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1/8 tsp
- sifted all-purpose flour - 2 c
- double-acting baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- well-beaten egg - 1 item
How to make cream cheese cookies:
Blend first 3 ingredients until creamy. Soften cream cheese slightly. Beat into the butter mixture with milk and vanilla. Beat in remaining ingredients.Preheat oven to 350°. Dough may be chilled or at room temperature when dropped by rounded teaspoonful or tablespoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
May be sprinkled with sugar or cinnamon before baking. Makes a wonderful cake-like cookie!
