Ingredients/Components
- salt
- butter - 3/4 c
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- parsley - 1/2 c
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- red pepper - 1/8 tsp
- medium bell pepper - 3/4 item
- large onion - 1 item
- pie crusts - 2 item
- crawfish tails, peeled
- stems celery - 2 item
- cornstarch to thicken - 1 item
- green onions green part - 1/2 c
How to make crawfish pie:
Add bell pepper, onion and celery to butter; saute until tender. Add crawfish, green onions and other seasonings. Simmer for 10 minutes. Thicken with cornstarch dissolved in water; cook long enough to thicken. Place in 9-inch pie crust and crust cover. Bake pie in preheated 450° oven for 10 minutes, then lower heat to 375° and cook 35 minutes or until crust is golden brown.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Crawfish.
