Ingredients/Components

  • packed brown sugar
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water
  • raisins - 1 c
  • lemon juice - 1/4 c
  • ground cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped pecans or walnuts - 1/2 c
  • grated onion - 1 tsp
  • fresh cranberries - 1 lb
  • chopped candied ginger - 1/4 c

How to make cranberry chutney:

Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Simmer 20-30 minutes (stirring to keep from burning) until slightly thickened. Makes about 4 1/2 cups.
