- sugar
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- grated orange rind - 3 Tbsp
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- fresh cranberries - 1 c
How to make cranberry bread:
Grind cranberries coarsely. Add this to 1/4 cup sugar; set aside. Sift together 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Blend in milk, melted butter, eggs, orange rind and nuts. Fold in cranberry mixture. Pour into greased loaf pan. Cook at 350° for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
